Hydroderm Review Summary |
|
Hydroderm’s Age-Defying Wrinkle Reducer was launched and developed by Hydroderm, a Culver City, California based company. Hydroderm’s product line consists of exfoliants, eye creams, moisturizers and anti-aging products. This product line is based on Collagen replenishing technology, which is stated as being able to “deliver whole collagen molecules directly to the skin”.
Hydroderm Age-Defying Wrinkle Reducer is purported to be able to deliver “brighter and smoother “skin to users. We have seen similar claims made many times-some formulas can deliver, while others struggle to deliver any skin enhancement. However, we will thoroughly review this product to see if it can deliver the promised results in terms of reduced facial wrinkles.

 | Ingredients At A Glance |
|
Hydroderm Age-Defying Wrinkle Reducer lists no actual ingredients in its formulary, which we found to be troublesome. Most manufacturers recognize that consumers need to be able to access information regarding the ingredients used in formula. We believe that this is especially important when it comes to products used on facial skin.

 | Ingredients In Focus |
|
Hydroderm’s website suggests that it uses a collagen replenishing technology in its Age-Defying Wrinkle Reducer. However, it does not actually indicate what form of Collagen is used in its formula. We would have liked to have seen this information posted because some forms are better suited to enhancing facial skin than others. We believe that Collagen replenishing can be somewhat helpful in restoring and rejuvenating facial skin.
However, this technology usually works best with other anti-aging and anti-wrinkle ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Argireline and Matrixyl 3000. These ingredients are used in many formulas which we have seen provide consumers with excellent results in terms of reaching their skin care goals.
These formulas will often use Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate the skin to increase smoothness and elasticity, while using Matrixyl 3000 to increase collagen production, and Argireline to relax and inhibit the development of facial wrinkles. Hydroderm does not fully disclose its formulary so we have no way of knowing if these ingredients are used in this product.

Hydroderm’s website is very savvy in terms of visuals and text; however, it is very light on actual information. We would have liked to have seen formulary information listed and explained. We also would have liked to have seen some research posted regarding the collagen based technology they use in their formulas. Consumers, in our estimation, should be able to easily access this type of information, in order to thoroughly evaluate a product they are considering using. When this information is not provided the manufacturer does the consumer a great disservice.
