MD Forte products are manufactured by Allergan, the company that also manufactures Botox. The M.D. Forte line consists of topical treatments designed to treat a range of skin problems, including sun damage and hyper pigmentation, and may also be used as part of an everyday skin regimen. The primary active ingredient in M. D. Forte products is glycolic acid, which Allergan claims offers better, faster results than other alpha hydroxy acids. The products are also pH balanced to maximize the effectiveness of the acid.
There are a number of AHA products currently available on drugstore shelves and department store counters, so what makes this one different? For one thing, the M. D. Forte line is only available through a physician. In addition, the product website also claims that the treatment is less likely to cause skin irritation than other, similar products. Although AHA treatments do have their advantages, there are more effective ways to address the signs of aging.

According to the product description, this treatment not only helps to prevent free radical damage, it also helps to soften fine lines and wrinkles by encouraging cellular regeneration.
While this process is important for keeping the skin looking its freshest, it unfortunately overlooks the importance of collagen in maintaining firmness and elasticity. AHAs may help to increase the turnover of new skin cells, but only peptides have been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis.
