IS Clinical Review Summary |
|
IS Clinical describes itself as “skincare for the new millennium.” The brand focuses primarily on anti-aging products through the use of “new technology” combined with botanical ingredients. It also includes some specialized treatments for specific conditions such as acne, dark under-eye circles, rosacea and hyper pigmentation.
While most IS Clinical products are intended for home use, the company has launched an in-hospital program to help cancer patients cope with any skin problems they may experience during their treatment. The protocol incorporates products from IS Clinical’s standard line with products that are specially-designed to address complications associated with radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and medication. While this initiative is admirable, consumers should not be afraid to examine the company’s products with a critical eye.

|
IS Clinical’s Firming Complex is designed to encourage regeneration, nourish the skin, and provide antioxidants to protect it from damage. It also promises to restore firmness within minutes thanks to a fast-acting formula.
With IS Clinical’s involvement with the medical community, and its stated commitment to patient care, it is easy to assume that this product contains only the latest, most advanced anti-aging ingredients. Unfortunately, this is not the case, as it does not contain an active complex to help boost collagen, which plays a major role in maintaining the skin’s firmness. Recently, the real stars of anti-aging have been peptide complexes, which have been shown to help prevent lines from forming and even reduce the depth of existing wrinkles by stimulating collagen synthesis. This is particularly essential for mature skin, since collagen production tends to wane as we get older, resulting in sagging and creasing.
This product does, however, include some excellent moisturizing ingredients, most notably Hyaluronic Acid. This water-binding agent has been shown to carry nutrients to skin cells that do not have a direct blood supply, as well as flush away debris so that the skin appears brighter and fresher.

 | Website |
|
The IS Clinical website is packed with information about the company, and about its Cancer Care initiative. It also includes a section that makes product recommendations for specific conditions such as rosacea and hyper pigmentation. For those who are more clinically-minded, there is a section consisting of articles on skin care written by physicians. However, for most consumers, this is a bit too dense to be much help. If IS Clinical truly wanted to foster education, the company may want to consider adding a glossary of ingredients to the site so that consumers could more easily assess which product is most appropriate for their skin type.
