AminoGenesis Review Summary

As one might expect, AminoGenesis products are based on the power of amino acid proteins to help regenerate some of the skin’s essential components that are often lost with age or sun exposure. By restoring collagen and elastin, certain amino acid complexes may help to increase skin’s firmness, preventing the sagging and creasing that over time causes wrinkles to form.

Note the use of the word “certain.” While AminoGenesis may be a step ahead of many other cosmetics manufacturers by incorporating amino acids into its formulas, certain complexes have been shown to be more effective than others.

Products at a Glance
Products in the AminoGenesis line include: Photolagen-AGF; Really, Really Clean Facial Cleanser; Therapeutic Facial Repair Formula, Counter Clockwise Under Eye Treatment; Perfect Reflection Anti-Aging Serum; Cocoon body lotion; Tripeptinon Facial Lift Capsules; and Theraputic Hair Repair.

Products In Focus
Photolagen is the star of the AminoGenesis line, containing no fewer than 17 amino acids. The product comes in a spray bottle that, according to its description, allows maximum absorption into the skin through a water-based transport system. After dissipating into the skin, it promises to increase moisture while also boosting collagen and elastin content. AminoGenesis claims that with regular use, this product can help to reduce skin discoloration due to sun exposure, increase skin firmness, and decrease wrinkle density.

These are big promises, to say the least, but regrettably, AminoGenesis does not make use of the latest developments in amino acid technology. Photolagen contains a pentapeptide complex that it claims will help to significantly reduce the signs of aging. However, scientists have recently developed a hexapeptide complex called Argireline that has been touted as a topical alternative to Botox because of its ability to reduce the small facial movements that over time can cause lines to form.

Website
AminoGenesis’s website is relatively unique in that it not only provides detailed descriptions of its main active ingredients, but it also cites specific studies to further explain the benefits of amino acids. It also includes an FAQ section offering details on how to use the products most effectively. The site also offers online shopping, which is a major convenience for many consumers.

However, it does not offer automatic shipping, which means that users must continually monitor their supplies and remember to log on and reorder in an appropriate amount of time. Of course, many of us are familiar with the feeling of pressing down on the pump of a favorite lotion and finding it completely empty. Automatic shipping helps consumers avoid this frustration entirely, saving considerable time and energy.
